For many years Thomas Bokenham was Chairman and researcher of the Society and 'in November,1994, he appeared in a BBC TV documentary which was watched by millions called "The Battle of Wills" where he presented evidence of a cypher on the Shakespeare Monument in Poets Corner inside Westminster Abbey.’
